Build a complete shipping brief

Reliable parcel data and destinations make shipping options easier to assess.

Warehouse operations in Hagen

Create a profile for each packaging group

Use separate rows for products with different packed dimensions or shipping requirements. Record units per order, pieces, packed dimensions, gross weight and monthly volume for each group. Give packaging changes a new version and measurement date.

Specify destination areas and delivery needs

Provide the destination country, typical postcode areas and B2B or B2C recipients. For large pieces, describe requested appointments, access conditions and handover point. Record confirmed coverage and service scope in the quote.

Plan normal operations and peaks separately

Record average volume and expected peaks with their time window and forecast date. Agree collection, tracking updates and the returns route together. Check sample orders before launch and assign owners for open questions and the next update date.

Plan step by step

  1. Record packed dimensions and actual weight for each product group. Product dimensions alone do not describe the parcel ready for dispatch.
  2. Provide destination countries, typical postcode areas and expected volumes. Specify delivery needs such as signature or special handling separately.
  3. Disclose special product characteristics and transport requirements. Shipping suitability is assessed for the specific product.
  4. Compare cost components alongside service scope: packaging, shipping, possible surcharges and the returns route.

The CSV is a blank recording template. Enter confirmed values with units, currency and references; calculated prices are not included.
